Why Convert to PDF?
Remember: when you want to print your files convert to PDF?
Most printers thank you for bringing files in pdf format. There are some who even refuse to print any file that is not in this format.
I’ll explain why. The real reason is that this is the only way to get away from the problems of compatibility between different applications and operating systems used.
Files can change from one computer to the next. Maybe you are using Microsoft word 2007 and the person you send the file is using Microsoft Word 2013 this can cause changes in the document.
Also, the person you send the file to doesn’t have the same font:
Once you have converted your file you will pretty much see how the file will look when it’s printed. Therefore always check after it’s converted. There is exceptions when you send a file in PDF that that file can still change when it reaches the printer (very rare but it can happen) If you want to take extra precautions take a screen shot and send a PNG or JPG and make sure the printer you send your file to can see exactly what you want.
